Since we began, this business has grown and thrived with blessings and guidance that have helped us through challenging times. Our journey started in 1955, when my grandfather opened a humble tea stall called “Lal Chand di Hatti.” His skills and dedication eventually led him to launch “Chhabra Sweets” in 1985, a venture that quickly became a cherished local success. After his passing in 1991, our family was uncertain about maintaining his high standards, but my father and uncles worked tirelessly to honor his legacy. With their dedication and determination, they kept the business flourishing, and today, in our hometown of Faridkot, India, it shines brightly.

Growing up, I watched my family’s remarkable skill in running the business and preparing food, inspiring me to follow in their footsteps. From a young age, I spent hours at the shop, learning all I could. This early experience fueled my passion for the family business, and after high school, I pursued a degree in food technology to deepen my expertise.

In 2016, I returned home after completing my degree and gained valuable experience working at Nestlé as an intern. The following year, I joined the culinary team at a Hyatt hotel in Delhi, where I further honed my skills as a chef. But life had other plans, and I immigrated to Ontario, Canada, in December 2018, where I studied for a year and a half and applied for a work permit afterward. Equipped with knowledge, skills, and experience, I finally felt ready to bring my family’s legacy to a new place.

Today, I’m proud to introduce our latest branch, “RED MOON,” in Brampton, Canada—a name chosen to honor my grandfather. My goal is to carry forward his tradition of excellence and meet the high standards he set. With the continued support of my family and community, I hope to make this new venture a success and share our family’s passion for quality and tradition with all of you.
